  Jean Michael Malouf

Jean-Michel Malouf graduated from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal in conducting, trombone and chamber music. He also obtained an Artist Diploma from McGill University. His studying years gave him the opportunity to work with masters such as Raffi Armenian and Alain Trudel.

He currently is the artistic director and conductor of l’Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de Joliette, the Philharmonie jeunesse de Montréal, and the professional brass ensemble Chœur de métal. Since 2004, he has assisted Véronique Lacroix, conducting performances of the contemporary music ensemble of the Montreal Conservatory.

Jean-Michel Malouf took part in the Interprovincial Music Camp and the Scotia Festival of Music, as the assistant conductor of Alain Trudel, where he had the privilege to work with the great soprano Patricia Rozario for a national broadcast concert.

As a trombonist, Mr. Malouf works regularly with Les Violons du Roy, the Montreal Contemporary Ensemble and the McGill Chamber Orchestra.
